Bear's Path, My spiritual path

In the Wisdom of a great Sufi sage, Ibn Arabi, I found the song of my heart.  When out of fear or pain I find myself confused or pulled to one religion's dogmas, and I seek balance I go back to his words, which translate roughly to this:

My heart has opened unto every form.

It is a pasture for gazelles,

a cloister for Christian Monks,

a temple for idols,

the Ka'ba of the pilgrim,

the tablets of the Torah,

and the book of the Koran.

I practice the religion of Love;

in whatsoever directions its caravans advance,

the religion of Love shall be my religion

and my faith.

-Ibn Arabi-

One of the great quotes that inspired me and rang of truth early in my search was attributed Crazy Horse, as he smoked the pipe with Sitting Bull the year before his death.  The most recent version of this quote on the internet sounds much more flowery and mixed with the Sanskrit concept of Namaste, then the version here which I first saw in print in 1995.

"I see a time, after the sky has grown dark and ugly and the waters bad smelling,

when the young white ones will come to those of our people

who still carry the spark of knowledge of unity with all that lives and ask for wisdom.

In that day there will be some who carry the light and who will give it to them."

Since my Purchase of the High Spirits ™ Native American Flute, I have been very much into just finding peace through its sweet tones. Kokopelli is known as the Flute god or Flute player of several Native American Spiritual Systems though the name changes.

Which Fantasy/SciFi Character Are You?

"Judge me by my size, do you? And well you should not - for my ally is the Force. And a powerful ally it is. Life greets it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us, and binds us. Luminescent beings are we, not this crude matter! You must feel the Force around you, everywhere."

"Great spirits have always found violent

opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot

understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly

submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and

courageously uses his intelligence."

- Albert Einstein-

COMMITMENT:
"Until one is committed there is always hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness.  Concerning all acts of initiative (and Creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too.  All sort of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred.  A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favor all manor of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way."

Goethe
